What To Expect

Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE)

The Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) is the national board exam required for nursing graduates in the Philippines to obtain a license to practice. Conducted twice a year by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the exam spans two days and assesses both theoretical knowledge and clinical judgment.

The NLE covers core areas such as:

  • Maternal and Child Nursing

  • Community Health Nursing

  • Fundamentals of Nursing Practice

  • Medical-Surgical Nursing

  • Psychiatric Nursing

  • Nursing Leadership and Management

Passing the NLE grants eligibility to work as a licensed nurse in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions locally and abroad.
