What To Expect

Civil Service Examination (CSE)

The Civil Service Examination is a nationwide assessment conducted by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to determine eligibility for entry into government service in the Philippines. It is typically held twice a year, offering two levels:

  • Sub-Professional Level – covers clerical work and office support roles
  • Professional Level – for first-level and second-level government positions

Both levels test areas such as:

  • General Information

  • Verbal Ability

  • Analytical and Numerical Reasoning

  • Clerical Ability (Sub-Professional)

  • Logic and Reading Comprehension

Passing this exam grants Civil Service Eligibility, a key requirement for applying to most government jobs.
