What To Expect

Midwifery Licensure Examination (MLE)

The Midwifery Licensure Examination (MLE) is a two-day board exam designed to assess the competence of aspiring licensed midwives in the Philippines. Conducted twice a year by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the exam evaluates both theoretical knowledge and practical readiness across core areas of midwifery.

Examinees are tested on topics such as:

  • Fundamentals of Midwifery
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Infant Care and Feeding
  • Primary Health Care

  • Personal Growth and Development

Passing the exam enables graduates to practice as licensed midwives and contribute meaningfully to maternal and newborn health services across the country.
